1)      Matthew 1:23

Literal

Behold the virgin in womb will hold and will bear a son, and they will call the name of him Immanuel, which is translated With us God.

Paraphrase

Look! A virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son. He shall be called “Immanuel” which means, “God with us.”

Jesus replied, “It is also written that you shall not put the Lord your God to the test.”

God no one has seen ever yet; [the] only- begotten God the [one] being in the bosom of the Father, He has made [him] known

Paraphrase

No one has ever seen God; he has been revealed by the only God who is at the Father’s side.

 

5)      John 20:28

John 20:28

And Thomas answered and said unto him, my Lord and my God.

ἀπεκρίθη Θωμᾶς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· ὁ κύριός μου καὶ ὁ θεός μου.

Transliteration

apekrithē Thōmas kai eipen autō; ho kyrios mou kai ho theos mou.

Literal

Answered Thomas and said to him, the Lord of me and the God of me.

Paraphrase

Thomas exclaimed to him, “My Lord and my God!”

 

6)      Acts 20:28

Acts 20:28

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Literal

Take heed to yourselves and to all the flock among which you the Spirit Holy has set overseers to shepherd the church of God which he purchased with blood the own.

Paraphrase

Guard yourselves and the flock that the Holy Spirit entrusted to you. Feed the church of God, which he paid for with his own blood.

 

7)      Romans 9:5

Rom 9:5

Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

Literal

Whose [are] the patriarchs and of whom [is] the Christ according to [the] flesh being over all God blessed to the ages Amen.

Paraphrase

Theirs are the patriarchs (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob) and of whose lineage Christ became flesh. Christ, who is God and rules over the universe, is blessed forever. Amen.

2 Th 1:12

That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

11)   Hebrews 1:8-10

Heb 1:8

Heb 1:9

Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Heb 1:10

And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands.

Literal

We know moreover that the Son of God is come, and has given us understanding so that we might know him who [is] TRUE, and we are in him who [is] TRUE in the Son of him Jesus Christ. He is the TRUE God and life eternal.

Paraphrase

We know the Son of God came and gave us understanding so that we may know him who is true. We are in him who is true—in his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the True God and is life eternal.

 

13)  Revelation 22:6,16

Rev 22:6

And he said unto me, These sayings [are] faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done

Rev 22:16

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star

I, Jesus, have sent my angel to witness to you of these things for the churches. I am the root and descendant of David, the bright morning star.
