John 14:6

Transliteration

Literal

Says to him Jesus, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father if not by me.

Paraphrase

Jesus said to them, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one can come unto the Father except through me.”

 

2)      Acts 4:10-12

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

gnōston estō pasin hymin kai panti tō laō Israēl hoti en tō onomati Iēsou Christou tou Nazōraiou hon hymeis estaurōsate, hon ho theos ēgeiren ek nekrōn, en toutō houtos parestēken enōpion hymōn hygiēs.

Literal

Known let it be to all you, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised out from [the] dead, by him this [man] stands before you sound.

Paraphrase

Know this, you people of Israel, that this man was healed due to the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, but whom God raised from the dead.

 

Acts 4:11

This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ λίθος, ὁ ἐξουθενηθεὶς ὑφ’ ὑμῶν τῶν οἰκοδόμων, ὁ γενόμενος εἰς κεφαλὴν γωνίας.

Transliteration

houtos estin ho lithos, ho exouthenētheis hyph’ hymōn tōn oikodomōn, ho genomenos eis kephalēn gōnias.

Literal

This is the stone having been rejected by you, the builders, which has become into head of [the] corner.

Paraphrase

Jesus is the stone that the builders rejected that is now the cornerstone.

 

Acts 4:12

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Nestle-Aland 28

καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐν ἄλλῳ οὐδενὶ ἡ σωτηρία, οὐδὲ γὰρ ὄνομά ἐστιν ἕτερον ὑπὸ τὸν οὐρανὸν τὸ δεδομένον ἐν ἀνθρώποις ἐν ᾧ δεῖ σωθῆναι ἡμᾶς.

Transliteration

kai ouk estin en allō oudeni hē sōtēria, oude gar onoma estin heteron hypo ton ouranon to dedomenon en anthrōpois en hō dei sōthēnai hēmas.

Literal

And not there is in other no one the salvation, not indeed name is there another under heaven, having been given among men, by which it behoves to be saved us.

Paraphrase

Salvation cannot be found in anyone else! There is no other name given to mankind that can save us!

Heis gar theos, heis kai mesitēs theou kai anthrōpōn, anthrōpos Christos Iēsous,

Literal

One indeed God [there is], one moreover mediator between God and men – [the] man Christ Jesus.

Paraphrase

There is one God and one mediator between God and men: The man Jesus Christ!

 

4)      Revelation 7:17

Rev 7:17

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Nestle-Aland 28

ὅτι τὸ ἀρνίον τὸ ἀνὰ μέσον τοῦ θρόνου ποιμανεῖ αὐτοὺς καὶ ὁδηγήσει αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ ζωῆς πηγὰς ὑδάτων, καὶ ἐξαλείψει ὁ θεὸς πᾶν δάκρυον ἐκ τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτῶν.

Transliteration

hoti to arnion to ana meson tou thronou poimanei autous kai hodēgēsei autous epi zōēs pēgas hydatōn, kai exaleipsei ho theos pan dakryon ek tōn ophthalmōn autōn.

Literal

Because the Lamb who [is] in [the] center of the throne will shepherd them, and He will lead them to living fountains of water, and will wipe away God, every tear from the eyes of them.

Paraphrase

Because the lamb, who is right before the throne of God, will be their shepherd and lead them to springs of living water. God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
